The Warhol Museum seems almost contractually required to have a photobooth, housing as it does the work of the most celebrated artist to use photobooths in his work, Andy Warhol. In the basement of the museum, under the stairs and across the hall from the studio where museum-goers can make their own Warhol-esque art, this Auto-Photo Studio Model 14C provides great quality black and white images for hundreds of people every week.
UPDATE 3/27/15: A.N. reports that the booth "still works great as of 3/27/2015, despite the small graffiti that says it does not."
UPDATE 12/3/17: Shocking news from Maura today, that the Warhol Museum no longer has a photochemical machine.
UPDATE 8/19/18: Looks like the rumors of the demise of the Warhol booth may have been exaggerated, and the museum still has a booth. From the evidence, though, it looks to be a different booth, so we've listed it here. Thanks to Cory for the update. Contributed by Brian, A.N., Maura, Cory |
