Sound of Metal
Darius Marder (U.S., 2019, 120 min.)
In this Oscar-nominated drama starring Riz Ahmed as Ruben, a dummer who's losing his hearing, we glimpse a few photobooth photos decorating the walls and frames of his girlfriend Lou's room at her father's house in Paris. The wonderful Mathieu Amalric (whom we've seen near a photobooth, at least, in Ma vie sexuelle...), plays Lou's father, and we see a wonderful, authentic vintage booth photo of him on the wall, among many other photos.
