PHOTOBOOTHS IN MOVIES & TV

Robert Lepage (Canada, 1998, 85 min.)

This film, which has been on our list for as long as the site has been around, thanks to to the photostrip on the VHS cover, features no fewer than three separate photobooth sequences, each a fantasy in its own way. Each is filmed in part from the persecutive of the machine's camera, with sequences shot in a photobooth photo's portrait orientation and proper aspect ratio; we even see the broken port glass of the booth after a violent photo session.
