Sans toit ni loi
Agnes Varda (France, 1986, 105 min.)
This film, known as Vagabond in the U.S., tells the story of Mona (Sandrine Bonnaire), following her as she wanders around France before dying in a ditch, where the movie begins and ends. In a rail station, we see another transient hold a man's photobooth photos hostage, asking a two-franc bounty for their return. Note to self: don't leave the booth while waiting for your photos.
Later in the film, another man talks about Mona while running the same scam, and holds up a set of photos to his offscreen victim.
